Scientific Animations Without Borders SM is a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign based initiative. The program is focused on the development of animations that can be used to educate people around the world on scientifically backed techniques.

Scientific Animations Without Borders relies on donations from people like you for our continued ability to develop and deploy new materials.

3. When did Scientific Animations Without Borders start?
The idea for Scientific Animations Without Borders came about during a car ride from Chicago to University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in the spring of 2010. Julia Bello-Bravo, Francisco Seufferheld, and Barry Pittendrigh were discussing educational challenges in developing nations and on that car ride the idea for Scientific Animations Without Borders was born.

4. What next for Scientific Animations Without Borders?
When funds are available, we have a list of new videos that we would like to develop, focused on the following topics for developing nations:
. HIV/AIDS videos
. Malaria videos
. Tuberculosis videos
. Dengue videos
. Safe water videos
. Cholera videos
. Improving the lives of women and children
. Improved agricultural practices

For the United States we would like to develop animations on the following topics:
. Head lice videos – for parents with school-aged children
. Personalized medicine
. Safety and accident prevention
. Food safety
. Farm safety in the United States
